Why did I pay $50.00 for this service if my garments aren't even clean!?!?

I was given a turtleneck for Christmas that could not be returned because the employee said it "had fuzz on it" and "was not in returnable condition" even though I had not worn it once. "I brought a dress here to be altered for a friends wedding.

This is absurd...will never order from Splendid online again...there is NO customer service...will call my credit card company to stop payment and file a claim against them! I then pointed out that that's not the policy stated on the receipt. Don't think I'll go back which is too bad because I work right nearby. There were awesome deals (last chance deal, 50-80% off) !! Called customer service - put on hold for over 35 minutes...told me that I needed to contact the third party shipping company to dispute the claim and tell them that  they need to find my missing order! you'll find everything from tanks and tshirt to shorts and capris. I would never shop here again. I had two long gowns tailored here and a couple of tuck in dresses on the side. I once tried a different place in Chinatown and they did such a horrible job I could have done it myself. The clerk showed it to me and said, "I know these marks weren't here when you brought this in." I'd come here from time to time only because of it being close to my work. I get that it's final sale on clearance items but the item I bought was a sale item.
