This year, as we remember the 75th anniversary of the Liberation of the Netherlands (on May 5) and VE Day (May 8), all commemorating will be done online from our own homes.Veterans Affairs was going to send a delegation to the Netherlands for the anniversary but couldn’t because of the COVID-19 pandemic.There will be an online celebration on the Canada Remembers Facebook page Friday starting at 10:45 a.m. Saskatchewan time.Those wanting to send a message of gratitude to the veterans who served can do so by posting a virtual postcard on the Veterans Affairs website.Some other ways to commemorate include sharing pictures of tulips using the hashtags #Netherlands75 and #TulipsAtHome.
